An exciting opportunity is available at Lismore Base Hospital for a Senior Registrar in Retrieval Medicine position at the Lismore Base Hospital for the 2027 clinical year at 0.6 FTE. The successful applicant will provide high quality critical care to acutely ill and injured patients, both in the prehospital environment and during inter-hospital transfers with the retrieval service. They will gain valuable experience working under the guidance of highly experienced senior clinicians as part of the Lismore Base Hospital and Westpac Helicopter Retrieval Base.
Our ideal candidate will meet the essential criterial of the role and will hold a current Australian Fellowship Certificate in Critical Care (Emergency, Intensive Care or Anaesthesia) or obtain a letter from the College advising that at the time of commencement Fellowship will be obtained.

Lismore Base Hospital (LBH) is a level five acute referral hospital of 280 beds, with new medical, surgical and paediatric wards, womens care unit and 8 theatres complex, along with a new library and education space. LBH serves a population of approximately 170,000 people in the Far North Coast and Northern Rivers areas of NSW.
LBH is the recognised Regional Trauma Centre for the Far North Coast and is linked to the local helicopter retrieval service.
