Registrar or Principal House Officer (Emergency)

About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 79-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, neonatal nursery, medical imaging, pathology and paediatrics.

About the role:
The Gladstone Hospital Emergency Department is a regional emergency department that sees approximately 36,500 patients annually, including around 25% paediatric presentations. Registrars and Principal House Officers are supported by experienced Emergency Department Consultants who not only assist in delivering high-quality patient care but also provide guidance for career progression. The role supports the delivery of a high-quality Emergency Medicine service under the direction and supervision of the Director, Staff Specialists, and other senior medical staff.

About you:
You will possess a MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision and hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience and qualifications in Emergency Medicine would be well regarded. If qualifications were obtained outside Australia, must be eligible for registration with AHPRA with the appropriate supervision level.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of $177,890 p.a. (L9) is comprised of:

• A salary rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a. (L4 - L9)

• A salary rate between $134,489 - $147,585 p.a. (L4 - L7)

• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

• 17.5% leave loading
