Werribee Mercy Hospital is doubling its ED capacity to 67 treatment spaces. We are looking for the next generation of ED Registrars to help us launch this massive expansion and grow with us long-term. This is a rare opportunity to work in a brand-new workspace designed for modern emergency medicine.
The New Era of Emergency Care:
Utilise advanced infrastructure including 4 new resuscitation bays, a 16-bed Short Stay Unit (SSU) and purpose-built dedicated fast-track paediatric and behavioural assessment zones.
Join as a foundational member of a major service expansion, offering long-term clinical growth in a high-tech environment serving one of Australia’s fastest-growing corridors.
Opportunity to rotate to other specialties in-house that satisfy non-ED training such as ICU, Anaesthetics and O&G.
The new Emergency Department is ACEM accredited as a non-major referral centre for 2 years of training.
Satisfy the Paediatric Log book (PBL) component of training.
Benefit from weekly protected registrar education and direct FACEM mentorship as the service scales.
Late-year and off-cycle flexible starts are available with the security of ongoing tenure for the 2027 clinical year and beyond.
Benefit from a reverse commute against traffic from the CBD or Inner-West.
Criteria:
Completion of PGY3.
Prior rotations in ED for at least 6+ months.
General Registration with AHPRA.
