Sutherland emergency department is a fully-accredited emergency department in Sydney's Sutherland Shire. We are offering a 6-month position to a TS3 or TS4, or have anaesthetic and/or ICU experience. The position is 0.5 clinical and 0.5 non-clinical. The non-clinical component is an ACEM-accredited special skills placement in medical administration. Successful applicants will gain significant experience in: Quality improvement projects and audits (designing, performing and supervising) Responding to clinical incidents through the IIMS system Contributing to the morbidity and mortality (M&M) programme (if opportunity arises) being part of a SAER or RCA response Responding to complaints This is an ideal role for a motivated trainee seeking to broaden their experience in clinical governance and medical administration within a busy metropolitan ED.
