To provide medical care and receive training in intensive care medicine within a tertiary children’s hospital. The casemix of QCH provides registrars with exposure to the full range of subspecialties including neurointensive care, trauma & burns, cardiac intensive care and ECLS, liver transplant, and oncology and BMT. In addition, registrars may have the opportunity to work for the Paediatric Retrieval Service (CHQRS).      In addition to clinical training, as a PICU registrar at QCH you will have:     protected education time   support for quality improvement and research projects with the Paediatric Critical Care Research Group     access to courses including Paeds Basic, Advanced Paediatric Intensive Care Simulation (APICS), the ECLS course, and the Helicopter Underwater Escape Training (HUET).      the opportunity to develop specific interests by engaging...
