$3,000 bonus for FACEMs who apply by 1 December 2026
FACEMs who are 24+ months post-exam and haven’t worked with us before can apply directly and receive a $3,000 bonus after completing 3 months of service at a minimum of 6 hours per week. Applications must be received by 1 December 2026.

Already part of the My Emergency Doctor team? Refer a FACEM who is 12+ months post-exam and hasn’t worked with us before, and you’ll receive $3,000 once they reach the same 3-month milestone. Referrals must be received by 1 December 2026. There’s no cap on referrals. If a doctor is referred by more than one person, the first referral received counts. Send referrals to [email protected].

Who we are
Established in 2016, My Emergency Doctor is a high-growth telemedicine business. Our team of emergency specialists provides virtual care to hospitals, ambulance services, primary health networks, residential aged care facilities and urgent care centres across Australia, at the times and places where specialists are hardest to access. This is mostly in regional and rural areas, but also in metro areas overnight.

Our specialists help clients avoid unnecessary hospital presentations, decide which patients need ambulances, and support on-site clinical staff to provide critical care.

The work
No two shifts look the same. Because we support hospitals, ambulance services, primary health networks, aged care facilities and urgent care centres, you’ll see the full breadth of emergency medicine, from paediatrics to older adults and from undifferentiated presentations to critically unwell patients. One call might be helping a rural team stabilise a deteriorating patient. The next might be working with paramedics on whether a patient needs transport, or helping an aged care facility manage someone safely in place. It’s genuine emergency medicine that uses your full specialist skill set: clinical decision-making, supervision and leadership, delivered virtually.

Our roster is made up of Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEMs) based throughout Australia and around the world. With My Emergency Doctor, you can work from a location of your choice.

If you’re interested in a mobility package or relocating overseas while still providing emergency care to Australians, we offer attractive packages for offshore FACEMs. They supervise and guide doctors in Australian emergency departments overnight while working during the day in their own location.

Your specialist skills and our platform let you keep practising emergency medicine from home, whether in Australia or overseas. You’ll be joining one of the world’s largest employers of FACEMs and earning a regular income through telehealth.

The requirements

• Current AHPRA registration
• Minimum 24 months post-FACEM exam, or 12 months if you’ve been referred by a FACEM currently working with My Emergency Doctor
• Work-from-home setup, including a private space and high-speed internet
• Indemnity policy that covers telehealth (we can talk you through this when you apply)
