EMERGENCY MEDICINE REGISTRARS 2023
QEII Jubilee Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Registrars to be part of our enthusiastic clinical team for 2023 onwards. We are an Urban District Emergency Department with an annual attendance of 62,000 presentations per year (7% paediatric). The department is accredited for 18 months of ACEM Emergency Training and has established connections with Queensland Children’s Hospital and surrounding units to help Registrars gain the varied experiences necessary for ACEM Training.
QEII Emergency is led by 21 FACEMs, along with friendly, caring Nursing Staff, and a full suite of ED based Allied Health specialties. Highly rated by RMOs and Registrars in successive years, the department is renowned for our strong focus on Mentoring and Wellness.
The department offers terms in Simulation, Medical Education, and Anaesthetics. Two three-month Anaesthetics rotations are available to post-primary, Advanced ACEM Trainees and vacancies exist for a February 7th 2023 start. Our excellent Primary Exam Success Rate is testament to the department’s commitment to Education, along with the recently introduced Fellowship program. The department caters for Trainees at all stages of their EM journey. Non-ACEM trainees are invited to apply through the same process, and will be ensured the same level of Academic and Clinical experience offered to Trainees.
