Te Whatu Ora/Health New Zealand   is responsible for the management of all health services across New Zealand including hospital and specialist services, primary health and community. This newly established entity has been developed to ensure consistency of care across all regions for all New Zealanders, with a focus on health equity. Te Whatu Ora - South Canterbury   (previously known as South Canterbury District Health Board/DHB) is responsible for the delivery of services throughout the South Canterbury region based on local needs to improve the health and wellbeing of the local community.
