Job Ref: 705141 – Fellowship in Simulation Medicine 2020   Central Adelaide Local Health Network, Royal Adelaide Hospital Indicative Total Remuneration: $95,302 - $154,699 - Temp F/T (up to 31/1/2021) - MDP2   The Simulation Medicine Fellowship is a combined clinical and teaching position, comprising 0.5 FTE in Simulation and Medical Education in the accredited ACEM Specialist Skills Term simulation centre at the University of Adelaide Simulation Centre, and 0.5 FTE as a Clinical Medical Practitioner in Emergency Medicine at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The 0.5 FTE clinical role is that of working in a tertiary Adult Emergency Department, with responsibility for managing the care of all patients in the Department in consultation with the responsible Consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals. You will also actively contribute to continuous quality improvement and education activities. The 0.5FTE Simulation teaching role is undertaken in Adelaide Health Simulation at the University of Adelaide, where you will contribute to the education of undergraduate and postgraduate clinicians (Nursing, Medicine and Health Science) suitable to their development as a Simulation Facilitator. You will be expected to undertake a year-long research or equivalent project with the goal of publication or implementation.   Holding a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, you will be registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner. You will demonstrate appropriate postgraduate experience and progression through or completion of the primary examination. Along with competency in range of routine and common procedural critical care skills, you will be skilled in problem solving and decision making at both the clinical and the individual level. You will display enthusiasm and drive for continuous improvement and research, with the ability to respond positively to change.   The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time. Job Ref: 705137 - Fellow, Trauma Service 2020   Central Adelaide Local Health Network, Royal Adelaide Hospital Indicative Total Remuneration: $155,191 - $165,178 - Temp F/T (up to 3/1/2021) - MDP3   You will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to Trauma Service patients, both in terms of individual performance and by providing clinical leadership and contribution to a multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of patient care. Responsible for the immediate, consistent and accurate assessment and management of severely injured trauma patients, you will be expected to assist the Trauma Team Leader and facilitate patients’ journey through the hospital. As part of your role, you will have an active involvement in teaching Medical Students and Trainee Medical Officers and, where appropriate, Nursing and Allied Health staff. You will also participate in clinical audit and quality, safety and clinical risk management activities, along with research and continuous medical education activities.
