Women's & Children's Health Network, Women's & Children's Hospital Campus Indicative Total Remuneration: $93,111 - $151,157 pa – Multiple positions, Temp, 3 Feb 2020 to 04 Aug 2020 or 05 Aug 2020 to 31 Jan 2021, F/T – MDP2   Applications are invited from suitably qualified trainees in paediatrics, critical care or emergency medicine to work as part of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Women's and Children's Hospital, North Adelaide. Positions are available for 6 month rotations (3 Feb 2020 to 04 Aug 2020 or 05 Aug 2020 to 31 Jan 2021). The PICU Registrar, under Consultant supervision will provide Inpatient medical services for assessment of new admissions, management of the day to day progress of patients in the ward, discharge planning and home team liaison for PICU patients.   As a member of the PICU clinical team the Registrar under Consultant direction will perform procedures such as difficult airway management, venepuncture, intravenous and intra-arterial cannulation, central line and PICC insertion, chest tube insertion, endotracheal intubation and lumbar puncture.   Applicants must be registrable as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, and have Advanced trainee status with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Australasian College for Emergency Medicine or College of Intensive Care Medicine.  Overseas applicants must have completed at least 3 years of paediatric training.    The South Australian public sector promotes diversity and flexible ways of working including part-time. Women's & Children's Health Network, Women's & Children's Hospital Campus Indicative Total Remuneration: MDP2: $93,111 - $151,157 (Pro-rata) – Multiple Vacancies, Temp F/T - P/T (from 03/02/2020 up to 31/01/2021) – MDP2   Applications are invited from suitably qualified Medical Practitioners to work as a Registrar in the Paediatric Emergency Department at the Women's & Children's Hospital. This is a position in the Paediatric Emergency Department providing the incumbent with advanced training opportunities in Paediatric Emergency Medicine. The PED sees over 45000 patients annually and is the State's Major Trauma Service for Paediatrics. There is an attached 12 bed Emergency Extended Care Unit (EECU) with over 5000 admissions annually. The department has a strong consultant led ethos. The department is accredited by both Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Australian College for Emergency Medicine (18 months of training).   This position contributes to the provision of comprehensive, effective and efficient Paediatric Emergency Services by working under Consultant supervision and managing the care of all emergency presentations and EECU inpatients, including the coordination of investigations, supervision of Trainee Medical Officers and medical students, discussion with patients/families, liaison with statutory authorities and patient discharge. The successful candidate will be encouraged to participate in postgraduate training as directed and supervised by the clinical Head, participate in appropriate and approved research, and in collaboration with the Consultant, participate in clinical reviews and assisting in the collection of data for clinical indicators.   These positions are not intended for RACP rotational trainees.
