Australian Rural Medical Services (AusRMS) runs Medical Centres in 4 of Australia's 5 major alpine resorts. Presentations range about 40/60 from coughs and colds to alpine sports trauma. Trauma presentations consist mainly of MSK injuries, including dislocations, ligamentous injuries and fractures. Management of MSK injuries is comprehensive on site with the goal of reducing seasonal pressure on local services. As such all clinics are equipped with digital Xray and USS with cloud based PACS systems. All practices fall with MMM5 remote classification. This allows for onsite Xray reporting via "r-type" remote area exemption. All sites have adjacent ambulance stations and helipads for retrieval. Most clinics have onsite accommodation.
