What You'll Be Doing This role encompasses two parts, 1 FTE Staff Specialist Emergency Medicine appointment and the Head of Department Emergency Medicine role for the current Quinquennial period ending 31st December 2023 (with a  review after the first year as being Head of Department). The role of a Head of Department (HOD) involves the overarching management of the Department, including service delivery, workforce management and development and fiscal management. HODs need to work in close partnership with their Home Ward Nurse Unit Manager and other nursing and allied health leaders. Liverpool Hospital recognises that the management of a Department is a collaborative effort between the Executive and the HOD. To that end, the hospital commits to providing appropriate support to HODs including the provision of information and data to assist in the fulfilment of their duties. Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care.
