HardyGroup International is partnering with Tasmania’s Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Tasmanian Health Service (THS) to appoint to the position of the Director Emergency Department, at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). The Director Emergency Department will lead the largest Emergency Department in Tasmania at the state’s principal hospital and main trauma service. The RHH has been identified as a Level 6 service across all major clinical groups (including Emergency Medicine, Trauma Services, General Medicine, et al.). The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state of Tasmania. It is the state’s trauma centre, as well as providing a wide variety of specialty services. Our busy, Emergency Department provides care for 70 000 patients annually. Approximately 25% of the case load is paediatric. We also run a 20 bed Emergency Medical Unit. The department is accredited for 36 months of training with ACEM, or two years of advanced training under the pre-2022 program. We have a wide variety of non-ED rotations available, including anaesthetics, intensive care, paediatrics, and medical education/simulation. We have also supported candidates through other rotations including hyperbaric medicine and neonatal/paediatric ICU. Our mixed ED is accredited for the paediatric log book and we have PEMs on staff. Rostering is flexible to help maintain a work-life balance. We are very understanding of the importance of time outside of work and are able to accommodate part time needs....

Department of Health Hospitals South Hospitals Sth - Surgical & Periop Servs  Position details The Department of Health is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for a Staff Specialist – Trauma Services vacancies.  The Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) is located in the beautiful waterfront city of Hobart, framed between the Derwent River and Kunanyi / Mt Wellington. The RHH is Tasmania’s major trauma centre and is designated as a Level 6 facility in the Tasmanian Role Delineation Framework. This means that RHH is required to provide the full spectrum of care for injured patients, spanning multiple specialties across all phases of care, including pre-hospital, emergency, intensive care, surgery, medicine, and rehabilitation. As a Level 6 facility, RHH sees over 260 major traumas per year.
