The Position
As an Emergency Medicine Specialist, you will be dedicated to bringing the highest standards to the department and its patients. With your own professional development being supported, you in turn will provide assistance to registrars, resident medical officers, interns and students alike. An interest in public and Indigenous Health would be well suited to this role as well as the flexibility to commit to out of ordinary hours and an on-call roster.

In a full-time position, you will work on an 8-on, 6-off roster. Part-time positions are also available, working 8-on and 20-off. On offer is a very generous salary package, you will earn from $457,000 per year to well above $600,000 depending on experience. You will also receive paid accommodation, 5 weeks of annual leave per annum, professional development leave of 3.6 weeks per annum and transfer and appointment expenses.

The Hospital
This Level 4 hospital has a total of 80 beds and offers primary, secondary and community health services in addition to specialist services such as anaesthetics, paediatrics, psychiatry, surgery and obstetrics & gynaecology. The hospital also hosts a range of clinics in speciality and sub-specialty services. The Royal Flying Doctor Service base provides rural retrievals and transfers and you will experience a very interesting and broad patient load.
