St Andrew’s Emergency department is currently seeking applications from Advance Trainees / Registrars in Emergency Medicine for appointments for 6 months commencing in February and August 2022

St Andrew’s Emergency is RBWH-Linked department with 6 months accreditation for Emergency Advance Training in the heart of Brisbane. RBWH is Queensland’s largest tertiary hospital in Metro North providing outstanding care across an extensive range of clinical areas.                                                                         

St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital is a Private not-for-profit health service delivering excellence in health care. Our ED is at our flagship site, at Spring Hill in Brisbane, a 250-bed acute hospital with inpatient services across most specialties including ICU, Anaesthetics, Cardiology, Orthopaedics/Spinal , Neurosurgery, General and Vascular Surgery, Cardiothoracic, Gastroenterology, Thoracic Medicine, General Medicine and Rehabilitation.

We are a highly regarded 13-bed department operational for more than 20 years, with attendances of 11,000 per annum and a 40% admission rate.
 
We provide an excellent environment to develop your skills as you make the transition to becoming an Emergency Physician. The team includes a friendly and dynamic group of specialists who provide on the floor supervision.. Their focus is on delivering high quality clinical care that exceeds patient’s expectations. 

We have a highly successful dedicated Fellowship teaching program run in collaboration with Royal Brisbane & Women’s hospital each Thursday by an enthusiastic, supportive teaching team offering exposure to senior college examiners.

Successful applicants will be legally qualified medical practitioners registered in Australia, possessing appropriate medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) AND currently advance trainee /completing examination with Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM).
