About Monash Emergency
Within Monash Health we have 3 unique Emergency Departments and treat over 225,000 annual presentations. Dandenong Hospital Emergency Department has a team of Emergency Physicians providing Consultant led care from 8am through to 12am seeing 70,000 presentations a year in a mixed adult / paediatric department. in addition to accreditation for 24 months of advanced training there is a 6 months accredited special skills placement in Toxicology & Addiction medicine with the Monash Health Toxicology service.
About the Role
To support and assist the Director of Emergency Medicine, Dandenong Hospital, in the provision of timely and high quality Emergency Medicine Services at Monash Health consistent with the Monash Health iCare values and the Monash Health strategy and values plan.
Provide clinical leadership through active involvement in patient care
Be available to medical colleagues for consultation and liaison as appropriate regarding patient care
Be immediately available for urgent consultation and assistance in resuscitation and subsequent management of critically ill or injured patients
Support academic, research, education, training & supervision (both undergraduate and postgraduate) roles in the Emergency Department
Contribute to the professional and corporate life in Victoria's largest public health service by participation in appropriate committees and educational platforms
Contribute to ongoing service improvement and clinical and workforce innovation to ensure Monash Health provides high quality accessible Emergency Services within allocated resources and meets the needs of Monash Health patients and their families
What you need:
Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
Applicants must be fellows of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine or Equivalent
Working with Children's Certificate
