About the Role
As an Emergency Physician, you will support the values and strategic priorities of St Vincent’s Hospital, provide excellence in the delivery of clinical service in the discipline of Emergency Medicine, and support St Vincent’s Hospital teaching, research and clinical governance programs
Provide emergency care and diagnostic services
Participate in other clinical activities
Ensure that there is prompt communication with other relevant clinicians and health care providers
Ensure that timely, efficient and high quality medical care is provided to patients including maintaining accurate patient records
Other clinical duties as directed by the Director of Emergency
Classifications for this position will range from HN15 - HN59 depending on hours and years of experience ($146.70 - $204.90 per hour).
Applicants must be registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Possess a fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine
Basic Medical Degree
Demonstrates relevant knowledge and experience in Emergency Medicine.
Effective communication skills and the ability to engage successfully with patients, relatives and colleagues.
Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the Emergency Department
The Emergency Department provides care to more than 50,000 patients per annum and has a 30% admission rate. Close links with the University of Melbourne permit joint educational, research, quality and peer support activities.
The successful applicant/s will join a team of 30 full and part-time FACEMs. This is an opportunity to work at one of the premier inner city Emergency Departments. Strong clinical skills and an ability to work in a multidisciplinary tertiary Emergency Department environment are essential.
