Seeking application for a Registrar Trainee in Emergency Medicine position being full time for 6 or 12 months starting February 2022.
We are looking for enthusiastic doctors Australian College of Emergency Management (ACEM) Trainees who want to combine a great mix of rural and regional medicine with one of WA’s best kept secrets in terms of location and lifestyle. Located on the South Coast of Western Australia, Albany is a town of 30,000 people with all the amenities of a small city with great restaurants, a state-of-the-art Entertainment Centre and stunning surrounds, with some of the best beaches in Australia close by.
Our new hospital opened in May 2013. The ED has 2 resus bays, 8 acute cubicles, 4 fast track cubicles as well as integrated computerised work management and pathology / radiology systems. There are five resident FACEMs in town. The roster comprises four doctors per shift including the FACEM so there is excellent supervision and apprentice-style learning. The registrar has a segregated five hours of formal education per week. We are accredited for twelve months of Emergency Medicine Training with ACEM. We are situated 420kms from Perth with good air links.
The successful applicants will have previous emergency medicine experience and must be registered with the Australian Medical Board and registered as a trainee with the Australian College for Emergency Medicine.
Remuneraton: Registrar Year 1-7, $131,299 to $175,977 pa (includes base salary $110,678 to $151,479 pa, professional Development allowance $10,107 pa and 9.50% employer contributed Superannuation). Rates as at February 2021.
