These positions are designed for ACEM late phase advanced trainees to prepare you for fellowship and give you the opportunity to develop the expertise required to be a Junior Emergency Consultant with appropriate support. Departmental Management skills, a wide range of acute skills, diagnostic skills and develop an appreciation and extension of current knowledge as part of education, learning and practice. Trainees in their late phase of advanced training are invited to apply.

We have a dedicated Ultrasound faculty who provide; monthly ED POCUS Educational Webinars, regular newsletter “Sonic Boom’ and podcasts, and our experienced ultrasound clinicians are available to assist build your US experience on the floor and the CCPU.
There are currently 40 consultants working in the Emergency Department supporting across both sites. We are accredited by ACEM for 2 years of Advance Vocational training at Frankston ED, while Rosebud ED is accredited by ACEM for 6 months. Both EDs are well staffed by FACEMs, Trainees, HMOs and Interns. Peninsula Health Emergency Medicine has a strong educational program with and excellent track record; access to knowledgeable exam teachers and 3 experienced ACEM examiners.
