Emergency Registrar and HMO positions 2022 Join the Austin team…
It’s time to plan for your future. Come and join the team in the Austin Emergency Department.
Austin Health is a growing, dynamic tertiary level Emergency Department, attending to over 90,000 patients a year.
We are looking for ACEM trainees and other interested clinicians to join our team in 2022 and beyond. We value the importance of building a great team; a culture which supports all of our clinicians to be the best they can be.
Our staff are dedicated, hard-working, excellent clinicians who, most importantly, know how to enjoy their work. Their commitment to providing safe, timely and effective care for all patients is something we take great pride in. Their commitment to you, your training, your future, your well-being, is something we also take great pride in.
But wait, there’s more…
Our department cares for a very diverse mix of patients. In our paediatric department we see patients from 10 days old and our adult ED sees a mixture of complex medical and surgical patients, toxicology, trauma and a heavy representation of cardiac, neurology and oncology. A true tertiary-hospital cohort.
We are also accredited for two years advanced training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine. We offer or can access registrar rotations in ICU, anaesthetics, obstetrics and gynaecology, toxicology, research, education, retrieval, psychiatry, paediatrics and more including a new opportunity for senior registrars aiming to sit the Fellowship Written and/or Viva exam during the year.
Our examination program is highly successful and our registrar team is leading the way in innovative work practices focusing on wellness, sustainability and clinical excellence.
The Paediatric Emergency Department at Austin Health is a separate co-located department accredited with ACEM and RACP for 6 months of advanced training with the PEM JTC. This allows us to provide training opportunities for a variety of ACEM, PEM and RACP trainees. We enjoy a very close working relationship with our Paediatric inpatient team. Opportunities exist to combine this job with 6 months of Paediatric Medicine, Adult Emergency Medicine, or NICU at the co-located Mercy Hospital.
Great. I’m in! What’s next? Who do I call?
