About Monash Women’s (www.monashwomens.org)
Our maternity service is the largest maternity care provider in Victoria caring for over 9,000 women each year across three hospitals; Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital and Casey Hospital. Monash Women's provides maternity care for all women, including those with more complex and specialty needs.
About the Role
Monash Women’s at Dandenong and Casey have an opportunity for an experienced midwife to grow your career in leadership, joining the existing team leaders to guide and support staff and manager the operational requirements of their post natal wards.
The Midwifery Manager Team Leader together with the obstetric partner is jointly responsible for their multidisciplinary team. The Diamond Team and Rose Quartz Teams provide care for postnatal women and the number of patients is rapidly growing as the service and acuity grows across the South Eastern Window. We support a culturally diverse group of women across Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia councils which continue to grow, as does the increase risk in presentations to our services. Our teams of midwives are given the opportunity to rotate through clinic, birth suite, postnatal and extended care into the home, to maximise continuity of care and a positive experience for women. As the Maternity Leader, together with the your other Team leaders at each site, you will encourage and support Monash Women’s model of practice to ensure women receive consistent high quality, safe care throughout their journey.
