Redland Hospital is a public hospital at Brisbane’s southern bayside area. The emergency department manages approximately 55 000 patient presentations per annum and is accredited for 12 months for both provisional and advanced training with the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (ACEM). There is ample opportunity to work shifts in the dedicated paediatric area and work towards completion of the paediatric logbook.
Redland is located in south-east QLD with a culturally diverse population. The hospital is 30 minutes east of the Brisbane CBD and 1 hour to both Sunshine and Gold Coasts. There is close proximity to Stradbroke Island for camping, fishing and boating.
We are a diverse group of emergency physicians including new ACEM fellows, a PEM consultant and others working part-time in tertiary centres. Several of our group have special interests in pre-hospital/retrieval (LifeFlight), ultrasound (CCPU), medical education/simulation, rural/remote medicine (ACRRM) and geriatrics.
