FACEM/Senior Emergency Doctors for up to full time work on the beautiful South West Victorian coast
About the role
We are looking for a positive, enthusiastic and team orientated FACEM to provide and coordinate emergency medical services to patients within our community and region. The optimal candidate will have fellowship or eligibility for fellowship of the Australian College or Emergency Medicine (ACEM), excellent interpersonal skills and an interest in clinical and didactic teaching and mentoring.
In addition to your responsibilities in clinical care, supervision of junior clinical staff, and clinical education, there are established development opportunities in ultrasound, simulation education, medical student education through Deakin University, emergency and rural emergency medicine, quality improvement, department and organisational leadership, and many other areas of specific interest. There is even an opportunity for succession into a clinical director or co-director role for interested candidates. We are accredited for 6 months of specialist ACEM training.

About South West Healthcare
SWH is a regional centre with a 15-bed Emergency Department, multiple specialities and sub-specialities on-call, with around 26,000 ED presentation per year. Our health service has just received $384 million in funding for stage 2 redevelopment, which will include a band new 38 bed Emergency Department.
