Full time Government Health Care

Job Description

WA Country Health Service - Broome Hospital is seeking applications for Registrars in Emergency Medicine. We have 6-months or 12-months full time appointments (80 hours per fortnight) commencing February and August 2025.

We are currently seeking Service Registrars to provide a high-quality patient centred care to patients under the supervision of the Head of Department or duty consultant within the Emergency Medicine and General Medicine Departments.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop your emergency clinical skills and grow into senior roles that will be expected of you once you are an independent clinician. This will include, but not be limited to, the opportunity to participate in departmental education sessions, participation in audits, clinical governance and quality improvement projects.

Applicants to this position in Broome may be required to provide services on a “service needs basis” at our wider Kimberley regional hospital sites being Derby, Kununurra, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek and Wyndham. This will provide an excellent opportunity for Service Registrars to provide care and gain excellent clinical experience.

The successful applicants will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to review the medical needs of patients within Broome Health Campus and provide teaching and support, as appropriate to Doctors in Training (DiT’s), Nursing, Allied Health and other multidisciplinary team members across the service and will be expected to share after-hours, evening and night shift with their peers on a pro-rata basis.
