Job Description

QEII Jubilee Hospital is seeking Emergency Medicine Registrars to be part of our enthusiastic clinical team for 2025 onwards.  We are a Tier 1 mixed Emergency Department with an annual attendance of 64,000 presentations per year (7% paediatric).  The department is a non-major referral hospital and is accredited for 36 months of ACEM Emergency Training, including TS4. We have established connections with Queensland Children’s Hospital and surrounding units to help Registrars gain the varied experiences necessary for ACEM Training.

QEII Emergency is led by 27 FACEMs, along with friendly, caring Nursing Staff, and a full suite of ED based Allied Health specialties.  Highly rated by RMOs and Registrars in successive years, the department is renowned for our strong focus on Mentoring and Wellness.

The department offers terms in Simulation, Medical Education, and Anaesthetics.  Two three-month Anaesthetics rotations are available to post-primary ACEM Trainees TS2+. Our excellent Primary Exam Success Rate is testament to the department’s commitment to Education, along with the recently introduced Fellowship program. The department caters for Trainees at all stages of their EM journey.  Non-ACEM trainees are invited to apply through the same process, and will be ensured the same level of Academic and Clinical experience offered to Trainees.
