Job Description


  • Full time or Part Time based at Werribee
  • Emergency Medicine, Emergency Registrar jobs available
  • Be part of Werribee Mercy Hospital’s exciting future. We are expanding with a critical care unit that opened in 2018 and a paediatric ward opening in August 2019.
  • Our emergency department is increasing its medical workforce and is seeking additional registrars. Our ED sees a varied casemix of approximately 45,000 patients per year including 20% paediatrics. There is a co-located 10-bed short stay unit managed by the ED.
  • The ED is accredited for 12 months training by the ACEM and registrars are well supported by an active fellowship teaching and exam preparation programme.
  • Combined ED/ICU and ED/O&G jobs are available for 2020, and paediatric rotations are planned in the near future.
  • There is excellent FACEM support.



We are looking for registrars who:

  • Have registration with AHPRA
  • Have some previous emergency medicine experience with excellent communication skills
  • Are adaptable, flexible and thrive working in a team
  • Have a passion about providing quality care to emergency patients.



Werribee Mercy Hospital is a General Public Hospital located in the rapidly growing Western suburbs of Melbourne. Our services include surgical, medical, maternity, newborn, renal dialysis, emergency, mental health, rehabilitation, aged and palliative care. The hospital has recently undergone significant expansion with the opening or our new intensive care unit, additional operating theatres and the opening of two new wards, taking the total number of beds to 298.
