Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health) is in an active phase and growth of its new and dynamic emergency service and is seeking enthusiastic and capable Emergency Consultants to join our team. GV Health is committed to becoming a regional centre for excellence in emergency care and has taken the initial steps to achieve this: a new department, ACEM accreditation and an established and growing professional team. We are recruiting to increase the FACEM team to take the department to its next phase.
Working as an Emergency Consultants at GV Health during this exciting growth period provides the chance to practice within a busy and varied ED environment, coupled with the unique opportunity to be part of a very special era. To be an integral member of a newly formed team, we are seeking FACEMs, FACRRM, FRACGP with EM qualifications or Senior Registrars who have completed their Part II exams, committed to supporting the establishment of a high performing regional emergency environment in which both Junior and Senior Doctors aspire to work.
You may be early in your career, or you may be looking for an alternative or a change of scenery. You may be seeking a part time or full-time position. We are recruiting to complete a full emergency team of staff specialists immediately to provide 4 specialist clinical shifts per day.
An Overview
GV Health is an important regional emergency service – with nearly 39,000 annual attendances and a varied and very interesting case mix, including regional trauma and pediatric services. Typical of regional settings, the hospital has little of the bureaucracy of large centers and has reasonable patient flow and access. Salary and conditions are above award and are generous, reflecting the developmental phase of our emergency services rebuild. The Emergency Physician/FACEM will have access to 20% clinical support time with full CME support. Shift structure is civilised, and part-time appointments are available to our specialists.
Relocation assistance is provided, and travel compensation and accommodation are available for part time staff travelling from metro or other regional areas.
