2024 Doctors in Training Registrar – Emergency Department – Royal Hobart Hospital

Based in the scenic waterfront area of Hobart, Tasmania, as one of our Registrars you’ll provide emergency care to patients attending the Emergency Department at the Royal Hobart Hospital.

You will be joining a department dedicated to the wellbeing of its staff, exemplified by winning the ACEM Wellbeing Award in 2022 for our numerous wellbeing strategies.

The Emergency Department provides opportunities for you to gain additional qualifications, such as:

• Emergency Medicine Certificate
• Emergency Medicine Diploma / Advanced Diploma
• Extended Skills Training for GP Trainees
• Advanced Specialised Training for ACCRM Trainees

Salary

$97,946 to $138,593 per annum (pro rata) + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging

• Salary range is in accordance with Salaried Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019.

*Salaried Medical Practitioners Agreement is currently under negotiation.

Period of Employment 

Fixed term, full time & part time day work, 80 hours per fortnight commencing ASAP until 3 February 2025 (Please note 24 months negotiable).

Essential Requirements

General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
