About the role
Opportunities are currently available for 2023 & 2024 Emergency Medicine Registrars at Greenslopes Private Hospital in accredited training positions.
Our Registrars play a key role in the provision of emergency medicine services to patients, in coordinating emergency care in the emergency department, and in teaching and supervision of junior staff and students.
The Emergency Centre sees approximately 24,000 cases per annum with an admission rate of 44%. Our department is an important contributor to emergency care in Brisbane, and services a large catchment area in South East Queensland from our location in leafy suburbs just south of the Brisbane city centre.
The Emergency Centre has been completely rebuilt and comprises 31 patient treatment spaces including 18 acute bays, 6 recliners, a resus room, a negative pressure isolation room and 4 consult rooms.
Greenslopes Private Hospital has extensive subspecialty care and offers the full gamut of adult services including cancer care and haematology, interventional cardiology, neurosurgery, obstetrics and gynaecology. As such the case mix is enjoyably diverse. There are extremely limited presentations with behavioural disturbance and substance abuse.
Rostering is considerate and extremely flexible. We actively support our trainees needs in terms of examination preparation and educational opportunities. Remuneration is in accordance with peer hospitals and Qld Health (MOCA 6).
