Hospitals within our Emergency Network, Network 4 include one of the busiest in the state, John Hunter Hospital which is the principal referral centre for Newcastle and includes Calvary Mater Newcastle, The Maitland Hospital, Tamworth Rural Referral Centre and Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

· High success rates in both the Primary and Fellowship exams where our dedicated Directors of Emergency Medicine and our Medical Education and Training Coordinator are here to support you in all your training requirements.
· ED consultants are present for 16+ hours per day and are available on call overnight.
· You will work 10hr shifts with 4 hours paid protected teaching time per week.
· Access is available to world class facilities that are constantly growing and expanding to include new and better services.
· Our regional and rural sites offer outstanding training opportunities whilst experiencing an excellent casemix and variety at our sites.

The Maitland Hospital - 12 months (Urban District, PLB)
Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital - 18 months (Regional Referral, PLB)
Port Macquarie Base Hospital – 12 months (Regional Referral, PLB)
Special Skills Terms offered:
· Retrieval – 12 month duration
· Education – 6 months duration
· Toxicology – 6 months duration
· ICU – 6 months duration
· Paediatrics - Ward/ED – 6 months duration
· Anaesthetics – 6 months duration
· Critical Care – 6 months duration
· Medicine – 6 months duration
· Ultrasound – 6 months duration
· Education – 6 months duration
To be successful.....
· You are a Provisional or Advanced Trainee as per the requirements of ACEM and Emergency Medicine runs in your veins!
· You ooze fantastic communication skills, refined clinical skills, natural judgment and expertise, awesome teamwork, excellent time management and problem-solving skills in the clinical setting.
· Dazzle us with your commitment to self-education and your enthusiasm to continue your professional development along with your proven teaching skills.
