Job Description
Redcliffe Hospital Emergency Department is seeking applications for the position of USS special skills registrar/ED Registrar full-time for 6 months starting from 5th August 2023. This position is full time with 50% of shifts as the USS special skills registrar and 50% as an ED registrar. The position provides an opportunity to develop skills in point of care ultrasound and trainees are supported to complete CCPU units working with a supportive and enthusiastic ultrasound faulty within the department. About Redcliffe Hospital
Redcliffe Hospital ED is a mixed paediatric and adult urban district ED that sees more than 70,000 patients a year, of which more than 20% are paediatric. The department is accredited for 36 months of ED training, as well as for the paediatric logbook and a newly constructed dedicated paediatric department is due to open in June 2023. We have a group of more than 20 FACEMS and 27 registrar positions.
Redcliffe hospital is in the northern seaside suburb of Redcliffe, an easy commute from central Brisbane. We have a dedicated group of FACEMs to create a supportive environment, and there is a strong support for education with protected Thursday afternoon registrar teaching, primary exam teaching program, fellowship exam teaching program, and an on-site simulation and skills centre.
