Monash Paediatric Emergency HMO Position

An exciting opportunity exists for HMOs to join our growing service.  Opportunity to spend either 6 or 12 months in Monash Medical Centre’s (MMC) paediatric emergency department.  The position is ideally suited to those interested in pursuing a career in paediatric emergency or emergency medicine.  Previous HMOs working in this role and undertaking training with RACGP have greatly benefited from the training and experience provided.  Rotations to MMC’s adult ED or the recently opened Victorian Heart Hospital are possible.  These other rotations are advertised separately but provide a wonderful mix of emergency department experience within the one health service.

Paediatric Emergency Department

If you enjoy working in a supportive, dynamic, evolving environment, with a wide diversity of patients, then Monash Medical Centre’s Paediatric Emergency Department is the place for you.

The new paediatric ED at Monash Medical Centre is co-located next to the Adult ED but staffed separately. We are the paediatric tertiary referral centre for south-eastern Victoria. Monash Children’s new hospital facilities opened in 2017, further establishing Monash Health as a leader in paediatric care. MMC is accredited for 12 months of PEM registrar training with RACP and ACEM.
