We have a fantastic leadership opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our dedicated team at Port Lincoln Hospital.
The Emergency Medicine Consultant provides clinical leadership within the Emergency Department (ED) and the wider hospital community. The ED Consultant oversees all aspects of safe, evidence-based, efficient, patient-centred medical care within the ED. This will include policy formulation and implementation.
The Emergency Medicine Consultant will work with colleagues, medical and nursing, to develop contemporary Emergency Medicine care processes such as fast-tracking of patients, nurse-initiated strategies and nurse practitioner led clinics; Actively engage in continuous quality improvement activities including audit, Morbidity and Mortality Review and patient complaint management; Actively engage in the supervision of medical students and junior medical staff.
