Pre-hospital and Retrieval Medicine Registrars - Multiple Locations in Queensland
Become a Retrieval Registrar with LifeFlight and experience incredible new challenges working within dynamic medical retrieval environments.
Twice a year, LifeFlight Retrieval Medicine welcomes 31 new recruits to take part in a six- or twelve-month medical experience like no other.
We are now accepting applications for 2024 Retrieval Registrar positions. We are looking for suitably qualified Critical Care Doctors to work on board rotary and fixed-wing aircraft. These roles provide primary scene response, inter-facility transfers and search and rescue missions throughout Queensland and occasional international retrievals around the world.
Our Critical Care Doctors provide, in collaboration with flight nurses and paramedics, pre-hospital treatment and medical monitoring through the deployment of our own rescue helicopter and air ambulance fleets. They also complete missions for other providers of emergency and aeromedical care to the Queensland community under a contract with Queensland Health.
Retrieval Registrars will receive regular clinical supervision, and ongoing training and education to develop and enhance clinical leadership, decision making and management skills in retrieval medicine and pre-hospital care.
Please visit our website to apply and learn more about the minimum clinical and other experience needed.
Applications will close Sunday, 5 February 2023.
