The Position: 

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is the premium private hospital south of the river in Perth. We provide a well-established range of secondary and tertiary clinical services from our high quality facilities. All supported by a full complement of clinical support services.

Our hospital has;

• Over 500 beds
• Western Australia’s only private Emergency Department
• A standalone hospice and day surgery

St John of God Murdoch Hospital Emergency Department provides a comprehensive, consultant-delivered emergency service to adults and children.  We have opportunities for suitably qualified and experienced Senior Emergency Registrars to join a supportive team who are committed in providing high quality clinical management to ED patients.

This position will be offered on a fixed term full time or part time basis.

The successful candidate will have: 

• A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
• Graduate of an Australian Medical Council (AMC) accredited Medical school or equivalent
• Eligible for registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Complete Australasian College of Emergency Medicine Fellowship exam or part thereof.
• Demonstrated clinical and procedural experience in an equivalent ED setting.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi disciplinary team.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing education and research
• Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Control.
• Commitment to our service ethos.
• To act in accordance with the standards of behaviour outlined in the SJOGHC Code of conduct.
• Have an understanding of and ability to apply occupational health andsafety principles to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.
