Flinders Medical Centre Emergency Department is a busy tertiary ED servicing Southern Adelaide with over 90,000 presentations per year. The ED sees adult and paediatric patients and is one of the State’s designated Trauma centres.
In 2020, Flinders ED is looking for an Advanced trainee in Emergency Medicine with a keen interest in Point of Care Emergency Ultrasound to undertake a 12 month position as our Special Skills Registrar in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound.
Working in a full time position, the successful applicant will work 0.5 FTE as a senior Emergency Registrar in the ED, as well as 0.5 FTE in a dedicated US role, undertaking scans in the ED with supervision, as well as being involved in quality assurance and research activities in EM POCUS.
As part of this position, the successful applicant will be expected to complete the requirements for CCPU in 4 modules (AAA, EFAST, BELS + one other) over the course of the 12 month position.
