If the answer to any or all of the above is YES, you should consider spending 12 months of accredited training in our 35 bed private ED at Epworth Richmond in 2022 and 2023.
About The Role
Epworth Richmond offers the opportunity for motivated Advanced Trainees to experience ED clinical consultancy, whilst being well supported and supervised by a large array of senior FACEMs. Trainees can refine and extend their clinical skills by being able to spend the time required to fully assess, diagnose and treat patients with a broad range of clinical presentations. Registrars treat high acuity and high complexity patients, and are able to expand their procedural skills and expertise under expert supervision and guidance.
Our fellowship training programme is second to none, and consistently assists trainees to exam success. We deliver a flexible education program, incorporating focused exam preparation, exam technique coaching and development, medical simulation, skills maintenance, and departmental CME topics. Our trainees appreciate how we strive to best tailor their individual pathway to fellowship exam success to meet and balance the competing demands of work, family, life, and study.
At Epworth HealthCare, every patient matters.
Epworth Richmond ED gives trainees the opportunity to spend real and meaningful time with their patients, unencumbered by some of the pressures they may experience in the public emergency system. Our patients genuinely appreciate the personalised care, and the ability to have their care managed in a professional and caring manner. We enjoy a fabulous inner city location, near the sporting precinct, and we are the preferred referral centre for major sporting bodies, major corporations, events and VIP visitors to Victoria.
Epworth Richmond is Victoria’s busiest private sector Emergency Department, with over 30 000 presentations per year; admission rate exceeds 40%, with an emphasis on surgical and medical specialities, interventional cardiology and our expanding private oncology service. Our ED enjoys 24/7 access to cardiac cath lab, theatres, ICU, and diagnostic facilities.
