…..Diversity of presentations - our Emergency Department is a busy service seeing in excess of 33,000 presentations p.a., 30-35% admission rate and 20% Paediatric case load. The department manage a very much above average acutely ill patient load, with our Triage Category 2 patients being in the region of 17%.
The department physically has two resus bays, 14 acute beds (two Paediatric), five consultation rooms, one mental health room and one isolation room.
…..Large regional area - we serve local Manning Valley communities which include Taree, Forster, Tuncurry, Old Bar, Nabiac, Diamond Beach, Wingham, Bulahdelah, Harrington, Gloucester and surrounding districts - a population of around 100,000 people, in an area of 3,732 km².

Working to the motto “Excellence through Education”, the department has recently commenced a formal JMO education program, team based-simulation program, ultrasound accreditation program, senior MO education program and registered as an ACEM accredited EMAD training site.
This is all overseen by a single FACEM at present, you could take over portfolios as DEMT, Simulation coordinator, JMO coordinator, Clinical Lead in Ultrasound.
