Who we are
Established in 2016, My Emergency Doctor is Australia’s first nationally available telemedicine service exclusively staffed by emergency physicians.  All consulting physicians are Fellows of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEMs).  We are the largest private employer of FACEMs globally.

We work with Australian ambulance services, hospitals, Primary Health Networks, urgent care centres, and the general public to provide access to specialist medical advice via video or telephone consultation.

The Opportunity
Our roster comprises FACEMs based throughout Australia and other global locations.  We are actively seeking additional FACEMs in New Zealand, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America to join our team. With My Emergency Doctor, you can work from a location of your choice! If you are based in or planning to travel to a location not listed, please discuss upon application.

The combination of your specialised skill set and our platform will allow you to continue practicing emergency medicine, from your home environment without the full PPE!  Our technology transforms your role in emergency medicine into a role that is truly portable. No longer are you limited to working solely within the ED.  Planning a European summer vacation? Working with us means you can travel for longer as you will be able to pick up shorter shifts that suit your schedule. 

You will be joining a roster of 100+ FACEMs who are currently reaping the benefits of earning regular income via telehealth, from the comfort of their own home, anywhere in the world!  All that is needed is a strong and reliable internet connection.  We operate a flexible roster with most FACEMs choosing to work in blocks of two or four hours at a time.

A Career in Telemedicine
Working with My Emergency Doctor can improve your career longevity and give you predictability within your shifts.  Many of our FACEMs choose to lock in their shifts well in advance and only work during their daylight hours.  Due to growth, we are now seeking applications from FACEMs who would be available to work for us either full time or part time.


The Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration 
• A minimum of six months as a FACEM to join our roster immediately.  We will happily hold discussions with those approaching fellowship who would be interested in working with us in the future
• Work from home set up (including a private space, high speed internet etc)
• Indemnity policy which covers telehealth (we can talk you through this upon application)
